- (1888PressRelease) July 22, 2010 - Oak Park, Illinois - Wall Street Images, LLC announced the launch of its new investment tool today called Maptool X, which gives investors, students and teachers unprecedented visualizations of Wall Street Markets.
Maptool X is available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch and can be purchased from Apple's App Store. The application can also be previewed online at www.WallStreetImages.com.
Maptool X is a visual investment tool, constructed in a very artistic old-world map style, overlayed with real-time market data. This interactive and visual approach makes understanding markets very intuitive. It is designed to assist with stock market research, investment analysis, and market tracking, and offers over 200 visual maps of 10 investment sectors, 200 industries, and 8965 companies.
Users can browse maps by industry or sector, and each map is updated in real-time and can display information about each company's financial metrics, ratings, news, and stock quotes. It also allows users to quickly understand the complex relationships between large, midsize, and small companies with each market, so that they can visually identify the dominant players in a Wall Street industry.
"Our motivation for mapping Wall Street was to depict risky territory and safe territory and give the user an outward-looking view of the disparity between the two," said Nicholas Mansour, Founder and CEO of Wall Street Images. "The stock market maps allows users to compare and contrast companies in order to visually identify the dominant players in any Wall Street Industry."
In addition to monitoring entire market sectors, Maptool X also allows users drill down to specific companies by name or ticker symbol in its detailed database covering all US traded stocks. It also allows customization, filtering, and creating lists of "favorite" stocks to track.
Although very easy and intuitive to use, Maptool X also comes with a comprehensive tutorial to help users who are new to investing or unfamiliar with market terms. The tutorial helps users become familiar with the many capabilities of the application.
Maptool X can be previewed at www.WallStreetImages.com and is available for purchase on Apple's App Store. Maptool X is compatible on all iPhone OS devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
