Visual Communications Lands First Place in 2011 USSC Sign Design Competition for Wayfinding Design
Environmental signage and wayfinding design experts receive high honors for two projects.
- St. Cloud, MN (1888PressRelease) December 20, 2011 - The United States Sign Council (USSC) announced the winners of their 2011 Sign Design Contest. Environmental signage and wayfinding design specialists, Visual Communications, rose to the top of the pack and walked away with the first place prize.
"We're ecstatic," a spokesman from Visual Communications said. " A lot of work went into these projects and we're thrilled that others took notice."
The USSC presented the first place award on December 3, 2011 at their annual meeting held at Sign World International. Visual Communications won based on the merits of two projects:
• Saint Paul College / Digitally Printed Signs & Banners
• Hennepin County Medical Center/ Sign Systems
Each project demonstrated different aspects of environmental signage and wayfinding design expertise, allowing Visual Communications to rise to the top of the pack.
"We'd like to thank those directly involved with the project," the spokesman continued. "Richard Lang, the Creative Director; Constance Carlson, the Designer; and Jess Yunger, the Graphic Designer. Without their hard work and dedication, none of this would be possible."
In addition to receiving a plaque, the first place winners had their project on display at Sign World International. They will also get space in the 2012 USSC calendar to show off their accomplishments.
