- Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) January 06, 2011 - Barbara Stanbridge, a longtime Chief Executive (CE) Group chair with Vistage Michigan, a membership-based organization that provides business leaders with new business perspectives and innovative strategies, has announced her retirement. The Detroit resident led three of these groups during her 17 years with the organization.
In her role with Vistage Michigan, Stanbridge acted as her group's advisor, mentor and business coach, conducting one-to-one coaching sessions with each of her chief executive group members. She also facilitated nine group meetings and workshops per year with her members.
"As someone engaged with multiple levels of different organizations over my professional career, I found Vistage to offer an exceptional value to people who have had a limited amount of time but a great capacity for learning," said Stanbridge. "Working with these CEOs has been like skiing a black diamond. It has been an exhilarating and rewarding adventure."
Among her post-retirement plans are to devote time to the Detroit Cristo Rey High School and working with not-for-profit groups on upcoming projects.
"Barbara Stanbridge was recruited to become a chair because of her organizational development work with major corporations and her expertise in working with groups," said Robert Holland, CEO and Chairman of Vistage Michigan. "The decision to bring her on was a great one because she has served the organization with great dedication. We thank her for her many years of exceptional service."
In addition to her Vistage activities, Stanbridge is an organization development consultant and president of CHANGE Human Resource Development, a consulting and training firm.
