Vision Source Announces Jim Greenwood as President and COO
Former Concentra Inc. CEO to join the national optometric alliance.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) January 08, 2013 - Texas-based national optometric alliance, Vision Source, announces today that Jim Greenwood will assume the position of President and Chief Operating Officer effective January 7th. Greenwood joins the executive team after serving as CEO of Concentra for more than five years. He will report to Vision Source CEO and Founder Glenn Ellisor, O.D.
A Baylor University graduate, Greenwood's career in healthcare started in 1993 when he joined Concentra's predecessor company as Chief Financial Officer. Greenwood helped lead Concentra through a time of significant growth and innovative transformation for its national medical practice that now includes over 1,500 affiliated primary care physicians and physical therapists. Greenwood serves on the Board of Directors for Epic Health Services, Inc. and the Baylor University Healthcare Administration Program's Advisory Council.
This announcement comes at the close of the most successful year in the 22+ year history of Vision Source. Strongly outpacing 2012 industry growth, Vision Source added its 2,800th office and 5,300th member along with more than 1,200 practices adopting the Vision Source name and brand through a collective, new signage and marketing initiative.
