SpeedyCare™ UV is an innovative robot emitting UV-C light in the germicidal range that ensures surface and airborne disinfection in only a few minutes. Designed in Spain by Sewertronic and manufactured in the EU, the SpeedyCare™ UV robot has been engineered to be easy and safe to operate in hospitals, hotels, shops, gyms, care homes, and any habitable space.
The underlying technology has been used since the mid-20th century, primarily for medical sterilization. It uses ultraviolet germicidal light at 254 nm as a disinfection method with short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill micro-organisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions
SpeedyCare™ UV's robot hi-output UV lamps allow a single placement operation for a complete room disinfection. A Lidar system takes measurements of the dimensions of the room, passes this information to the microprocessor, and calculates the optimal antimicrobial UV-C dosage and associated exposure timing. Large areas can be disinfected with several cleaning cycles within minutes.
