The third annual lineup includes both trade-only events designed for industry professionals as well as public events open to consumers. Vino California brings together a cadre of A-list Italian winemakers, master sommeliers and critically-acclaimed culinary personalities delivering a series of epicurean experiences that appeal to the sophisticated palates of wine and food enthusiasts. More than 100 wineries from 18 regions of Italy will be featured at numerous wine events such as seminars, pairing dinners, and even a pasta-making class, among others.
Highlights of Vino California 2013 include:
Vino California Kick-Off Party featuring the exceptional wines of the Calabria region (trade only)
· Starting May 15, three consecutive nights of regional wine pairing dinners at LA's most talked-about Italian restaurants including Aventine Hollywood (Southern culinary-focus), Valentino (Northern culinary-focus), and Enoteca Drago (Central culinary-focus), respectively
· Vino California Grand Tasting at the Skirball Cultural Center
· Nightly Happy Hours at Locanda Del Lago and Bar Toscana that highlight afeatured Italian spirit and exclusive cocktails
· Gourmandise "Intro to Pasta" + wine pairing class where attendees learn to make fresh pasta from scratch while learning how to pair their dishes with authentic Italian wines
