Videos, Photos, Testimonials Grace Revamped Margaux's Restaurant Website
North Raleigh Dining Destination Launches New Interactive Online Presence.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2011 - Margaux's Restaurant has put its best foot forward online, launching a totally revamped website featuring videos, photos, a new specials page, and testimonials about what makes the 19-year-old dining destination so popular with its growing army of regular customers and their guests.
The new digital media help convey a sense of the North Raleigh icon's unique blend of culinary delight and artistic flair, reflected both in its constantly changing, inventive menu and aesthetically pleasing dining atmosphere.
"To describe the food at Margaux's, it's just a potpourri; it's a conundrum of different facets," Steve Horowitz, Margaux's owner, explains in one of the videos posted on www.margauxsrestaurant.com. In the video, Horowitz says that although his co-owner, Chef Andrew Pettifer, is Pacific Rim-trained, there's an influence of all the people who work in the kitchen.
"Every day, it's always something new, fresh, innovative, interesting, and it's always changing," Horowitz says.
In order to help visitors "meet" Horowitz, Chef Pettifer, and the rest of the Margaux's family, the new website features professional photos showcasing the restaurant itself; its customers; food presentation; party rooms; and rotating art displays from local and international artists. The newly designed website also boasts easier navigation, more details on menu items, and information on Margaux's in-house and off-site catering, staff, events and specials.
Regular patrons as well as new customers have been responding well to Margaux's specials, Horowitz says. They include Monday Night Mayhem, Tuesday Tappas, Wino Wednesday, Suds & Grub Thursday and Early Byrd three-course dinners for $19.95 Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Details on all these can be found online at www.margauxsrestaurant.com/specials.
"Peter Ekenstierna, who handles our wines, has an amazing palate and has helped Wino Wednesday become a real hit," Horowitz says. Suds & Grub Thursday is also growing in popularity, according to Horowitz, as more patrons become aware of the fine choices of $3.50 drafts and signature pub sandwiches designed specifically to go with featured beers.
Along with the fun, relaxed atmosphere inside as well as outside on its expansive patio, a huge draw for Margaux's continues to be its fusion of French, Southern and Asian dishes. The restaurant prides itself on using simple, fresh ingredients from local growers in its changing menus, striking the perfect balance between new international creations and customer favorites.
In one of the videos online, Chef Pettifer talks about the inspiration for why Margaux's constantly changes-up its dishes. "We like to keep it seasonal, and keep it fresh for our customers and for the cooks as well," he says, explaining that nobody wants to cook the same thing for three months in a row.
He advises his staff to keep their eyes open, visit the local farmers' market to see what seasonal ingredients are plentiful, and "Just think about things you read, keep it interesting for everybody."
Margaux's regular dinner hours, 5:30 - 9:00 Monday through Thursday. Lunch is served Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 - 1:30, with dinner available from 5:30 - 10:00 Friday and Saturday. For more information or to place a reservation online, visit www.margauxsrestaurant.com or call (919) 846-9846.
