VFS Global Celebrates 75 Million Applications Milestone By Encouraging Staff To Volunteer Work Time And Services Towards Social Causes
In less than two years of achieving 50 million applications processed milestone, VFS Global through its expanded network of operations, has completed the 75th million milestone last month. To celebrate the same VFS Global has identified 75 social activities across the globe which it will participate in.
- (1888PressRelease) March 31, 2014 - A journey that started in 2001 now spans across 108 countries partnering 45 Governments. This global company now has a multicultural representation with employees from 108 nationalities that are part of the big VFS Global family.
As a gesture of ensuring every staff is a part of this milestone, VFS Global has organised 75 different activities across the globe that supports various social causes. These activities have been suggested by the teams working across the globe after identifying how they could share their moment with their society and will be completed within the next 3 months. VFS Global has been operating in the Middle East since 2004 and over the last 10 years has grown the operation to 120 Visa Application Centres serving 21 Client Governments spread across the region.
100 employees of VFS Global in Dubai took part in a Blood - Donation Camp as one of their activities in the 75m global CSR initiative. This took place at WAFI Mall where the company houses their finest Visa Application Centres. The donation is to support the Dubai Blood Donation Centre under the Dubai Health Authority where it will be provided to help children suffering with Thalassemia, trauma patients and other hospitals in the UAE depending on the need. The management and staff at VFS Global were honoured to be a part of this effort that encouraged individuals to give back to society to mark an important milestone.
Paul John Maliekkal, the Regional CEO of the region was present at the activity to participate and extend support to his teams at the event. He said, "It is indeed an honour for me and my team to support Dubai Blood Donation Centre through this initiative. It is our responsibility to contribute to society and this milestone seemed befitting of an event such as this. We look forward to many more activities with such organisations to help us support worthy causes."
