Collectively, DreadChild and his group Knotz have created an extensive track record of compilations. This venture will serve as a personal introduction aside from his fellow Knotz members.

    The new DreadChild album is entitled "The Ladder." Its title is symbolic for DreadChild's journey through life-- it will introduce you to past, present, and future of DreadChild. The ultimate goal of this album is to lead the new era of rap/hip hop music; "The Ladder" unveils an unprecedented change of the traditional format. Lyrically and musically it will offer something for a wide range of audiences.

    DreadChild's sound was influenced by various genres; namely Hip-Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Jazz, House Music, R&B, & Soul. also contribute to his well-rounded ideas. Influential members of the the Hip-Hop community include artists such as KRS-1, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Busta Rhymes, Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan, The Fugees, Megaton and many others. Also being of Jamaican heritage, Reggae and Dance Hall also greatly influence his DreadChild's style.

    DreadChild's "The Ladder" is still in production, but the gradual release of singles will carry audiences to anticipate the album's Fall 2011 release date. In conjunction with Damali Records and Regulator Records, a great deal of time, energy, and resources have been invested to create, polish and market this release. The lead single "I Don't Make Believe" features Queens, New York native, Nature (formerly of the Firm). This track is all about reality and being true; from the music, to the streets. The follow up single "Official Documents" features rising New York lyricist Fred da Godson. "The Ladder" will also feature appearances by DreadChild's two fellow Knotz members.

    Production credits for "The Ladder" are centered around the in-house team consisting of DreadChild himself, Don Wil, & Stress. This is the original team recruited to usher in the new sound orchestrated by DreadChild. A select group of prominent industry figures are also contributing their talents-until the official release these individuals will remain a surprise.
