Show Works will represent Oklahoma Sound and National Public Seating from their Vermont headquarters as a distributer of environmentally conscious staging, chairs, choral risers, platforms, podiums, and lecterns.
Burlington-South Burlington, VT (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2008 - Show Works, LLC unveiled her latest partners in the mission to provide theatrical, stage, and audio visual products and services to northern New England while minimizing the environmental impact of the products and services they provide.
Show Works, LLC has been very interested in providing quality supplies and services while mindful of the environmental impact the growing populations are creating. Recycling has always been present from using recycled paper products and low-wattage bulbs in the offices to reusing shipping and packaging materials. Lighting has taken a turn into LED (Light Emitting Diodes) technology with less energy consumption than conventional lighting fixtures.
Oklahoma Sound and National Public Seating are the most recent additions to a growing list of companies who have begun to distribute products manufactured using post-consumer materials through Show Works, LLC of East Barre, Vermont.
Oklahoma Sound brings the latest in Sound and Non-Sound Lecterns and Podiums and State of the Art audio voice amplification technology. As a consumer of raw material, Oklahoma Sound is committed to the use of pre and post consumer waste (recycled material), while preserving the high quality standards of our products. Some examples of this include:
• Wood - 100% of wood used for our products comes from non-boreal forests. Our wood products are produced in a factory that is ISO certified for its Environmental management system and has been awarded a certificate of compliance with the standard ISO14001:2004.

• Corrugated containers - Are made of recycled fiber. 100% total recycled content and 90% post consumer content minimum.

At National Public Seating, the quality of their products and the protection of the environment go hand in hand. As a consumer of raw material, they are committed to the use of pre and post consumer waste (recycled material), while preserving the high quality standards of our products. Examples of this include:
Steel - All of the steel for National Public Seating products contain 30-40% of post-consumer waste (recycled).
Corrugated containers - Are made of recycled fiber. 100% total recycled content and 90% post consumer content minimum.
Plastic - National Public Seating plastic products contain up to 35% of pre-consumer waster.
Wood - 100% of wood used for National Public Seating products comes from non-boreal forests.
Powder Coating VS. Liquid Finishes - National Public Seating products are powder coated and are highly protective to our environment. While liquid finishes contain solvents which have pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), powder coating contains no solvents and releases negligible amounts, if any, of VOCs into the atmosphere. In addition, most powder coating overspray that does not adhere to the part is retrieved and reused, virtually eliminating the waste commonly found in liquid finishing processes.
