Ventura County Businesses with Heart: A Circle of Love
Over 50 Ventura County businesses join the initiative.
- Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) November 21, 2023 - Ventura County Children and Family Services' Businesses with Heart initiative has grown to over 50 business partners in the last 5 years. These businesses offer discounts, supplies, internships and other support to families and children in need, including resource families and youth aging out from out-of-home (foster) care.
"We believe in the power of community and have dedicated our business to support VC Families and Homes with Heart because we have all been touched by families in the children and family system. Through our marketing outreach, annual fundraisers, and discounts for resource parents, we strive to create awareness in our community of the need for support and to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our VC Families and youth,” said Krista Cherry and Donna Wood, Brokers/Owners of Better Homes and Gardens Property Shoppe.
Businesses with Heart partners span across Ventura County, including Ventura Museum, Camarillo Library, Tomas Café in Oxnard, Simi Valley Library, and more.
The Businesses with Heart program has made a big impact on those in need in Ventura County and the community are now being asked to show their support for these businesses in return. "We are so grateful to our Businesses with Heart partners for the help they provide to youth and families in our community," said Jaci Johnson of the County of Ventura Human Services Agency. "Supporting these small businesses that give so much to our families in need is a wonderful way to put your money where your heart is."
