- Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) July 19, 2012 - Dance for the Rescues is seeking food, fitness, health/wellness/recreation, and pet related vendors and sponsors for the 3rd Annual Dance for the Rescues - A ZumbaŽ Event for the Animals. The event will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Custom House Plaza - Monterey State Historic Park. Sponsorship opportunities start at $250 and range to $2,500. Vendor spaces are $100 (early-bird pricing until August 15) for a 10'x 10' space on the Plaza. The Mission of Dance for the Rescues is, "To inspire through dance, support of animal rescue organizations that have made a lifelong commitment to those in their care." This event will showcase ZumbaŽ, a high energy Latin infused dance combining salsa, meringue, cumbia and world dance styles. ZumbaŽ is a dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "Beto" Perez.
The second Sunday of October is recognized by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and citizens as "Animal Rescue Day." In celebration of Animal Rescue Day, this event will be FREE and open to the public.
