Veena Exponent Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh, launches Mysterious Duality - Just Me
Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh, popular veena exponent and wife of Sri. Kumaresh of the Ganesh-Kumaresh violin duo, today released her album Mysterious Duality - Just Me, as a musical tribute to the instrument Veena.
- (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2010 - The album was released through a formal launch function, graced by connoisseurs of the Carnatic music fraternity - Shri. N. Murali, President, The Music Academy, danseuse Padmabhushan Smt. Alarmel Valli, Cleveland Shri. V.V. Sundaram and Smt. Bombay Jayashri. The album will be distributed in India and abroad by Chennai based International world-music record label, EarthSync.
Mysterious Duality is a multi-dimensional reflection of the simple yet complex self, expressed through the rich tonalities of the Veena. The music has been exclusively composed and orchestrated for this album, based on the Carnatic Classical grammars of Raga and mathematics of Tala. The compositions are not based on any deity nor do they have lyrics, and soars free beyond religion and language, with the specialty being the use of seven different Veenas. All tracks use only the seven Veenas, irrespective of the different dimensions of music such as the main track, the arrangement and the rhythm.
Speaking about the album, artist Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh said "Mysterious Duality - Just me" is the strumming of the human mind. The melodies emerging from the different roles played by us in life in confluence with the different notes emerging from a raga provide the synergy through the tones of Veena that becomes the Voice of the human mind. This
