The BASF Foundation is the charitable arm of The Bar Association of San Francisco, providing a clear path to help fund public service, pro bono and community programs for people in need throughout the Bay Area. Puri has been a long time supporter of BASF and its Foundation's fundraising efforts, which support its Volunteer Legal Services, Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship and School-To-College programs.

Puri, a native Californian, earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and her B.A. from St. Xavier University in Bombay, India with a First Class distinction.
