Valutech Outsourcing Opens A New Plant in Mexicali, Mexico
Valutech Outsourcing celebrates the opening of a new plant in Mexicali, Mexico. This will be a new assembly and repair plant for cellular phones. The opening phase of the plant will begin functioning with 2,000 workers which will grow in number to a total of 8,500 in the near future.
- (1888PressRelease) December 16, 2014 - On Friday, December 12, 2014 Valutech Outsourcing celebrated the opening of a new plant in the city of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. This new project, named "Plant II", consisted of an investment of around $6 million USD. The new assembly plant has created 4,000 jobs to date and will continue to do so until the number reaches 8,500. The building consists of 2 main phases: Phase 1, which has an area of 115,000 sq. ft. and Phase 2 with an area of 120,000 sq. ft. This new plant will be an addition to the other Plant, "Plant I" which employs 12,000 workers in an area of 365,000 sq. ft. distributed in 2 buildings.
Some of those present in the ceremony were Governor Francisco Vega, Secretary of Economic Development Carlo Bonfante Olache, Mayor Jaime Diaz Ochoa, Valutech General Manager Arturo Ochoa, as well as other Valutech distinguished members and important figures in the local industry.
