USTA Pro Circuit Tiburon Challenger Hits a Sweetspot for Community Programs
USTA Men's $100,000 First Republic Bank Tiburon Challenger begins October 5, 2013.
- San Francisco, CA (1888PressRelease) September 04, 2013 - The USTA is pleased to announce that the Tiburon Peninsula Club will host the $100,000 First Republic Bank Tiburon Challenger from October 5-13, 2013. This year's Challenger, a USTA Pro Circuit event, now in its 5th consecutive year at Tiburon, will offer $100,000 in prize money and is sure to attract some top players from around the world, including several fresh from the courts of the US Open and Wimbledon.
Local and corporate sponsors are proud to be associated with this prestigious tournament that's hosted players like Tsonga, Tipseravic, Querrey, Blake, and Karlovic to name a few. "Our sponsor's support is central to the success of our Challenger each year" says Scott Potthast, Tennis Director at Tiburon Peninsula Club and Tiburon Challenger Director, "and our sponsorship endowment program to benefit community programs ensures a win-win for all. We're thrilled to be in a position to do this again in 2013."
All sponsorship donations to the Tiburon Challenger are tax-deductible and written to the California Mentor Foundation, who on behalf of the Challenger will make a $10,000 contribution to the Foundation for Reed Schools and The Tiburon Rotary Foundation. This will be the fourth year in a row that the Foundation will be granted this very generous donation.
