Many UST Global associates serve as voluntary mentors and tutors in schools in their local communities. They share their professional and personal experiences to inspire the young students.
One example is the story of one underprivileged young student from the Indian state of Kerala.
Prathibha Poshini is a charitable organization that identifies bright students from low-income families and provides them with additional educational opportunities. Students who complete this program have gone on to obtain engineering and other postgraduate degrees. UST Global has been associated with Prathibha Poshini for more than 10 years as mentors who help guide and inspire the students in the program.
The student mentioned above successfully completed the program, cleared the UST Global recruitment process, and has now joined the company as a UST Global Associate. "UST Global helped me to dream higher and now I am also part of the company's initiatives to transform the dreams of bright students in Prathibha Poshini" he says proudly.
Other contributions of UST Global employees are: providing uniforms to schoolchildren, conducting literary programs, training sessions for children of indigent families, visits to hospitals to help underprivileged children, contributions to orphanages, libraries and women's homes, and blood donation camps.
In addition to health and education initiatives, UST Global "green teams" support a range of environmental causes around the world, including tree planting, trail maintenance, restoration work, energy efficiency projects and beach and community clean-up efforts.
