The President of USI just recently signed a memorandum dated April 27, 2009 launching the Revenue Enhancement and Cost Improvement Program or RECIP.
(1888PressRelease) July 01, 2010 - The program is a proactive approach in response to the current business downturn that is faced not only by USI but also of other export businesses in the Philippines. This economic downturn is the result of several factors affecting the whole industry which include the weakening of US dollar and continuous increase in oil price.
RECIPI aims to optimize the company's overall business process by effectively managing its costs. The program will involve selection of expenditures that achieve specific revenue system and maximize profitability without jeopardizing quality of products and services.
Mr. LRP Marcus, Vice-President for Corporate Internal Audit, heads the review committee designated to evaluate valid and workable cost-reduction measures proposed by each department that will be implemented CUP-wide.
With the continuing oil price hike and USD devaluation, survival of a business calls for a team response and full support of everyone from the company's highest top management officials down to the ranks. Effective cost management SHOULD be everyone's concern and MUST become Standard Operating Procedure in all business processes.
