USANA to Sponsor Children's Hunger Fund Twentieth Anniversary Banquet
Global nutritional company continues to give back.
- (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2012 - Children's Hunger Fund (CHF) will celebrate its twentieth anniversary on Oct. 6 at a charity event in Pasadena, Calif. USANA Health Sciences, a longtime supporter of CHF, is sponsoring the event.
USANA began supporting CHF's charitable efforts in 2001 and has donated more than 44 million Usanimals, a children's nutritional supplement, to help malnourished kids in 15 different countries achieve a better future. USANA Associates worldwide have helped CHF distribute 292,398 Food Paks and other aid through more than $15 million in product donations and monetary support.
"CHF is a remarkable company that has mastered the art of bettering the lives of millions of people around the world," USANA CEO Dave Wentz, said. "We are proud to be associated with such a dedicated organization that has a mission which aligns so much with our own."
In 2003, USANA and CHF's relationship reached new heights when USANA's founder, Dr. Myron Wentz, and the USANA family helped build and fund the Wentz Medical Centers in Uganda, Cambodia, and a maternity wing in Malawi. Each center provides medical care for children affected by diseases.
"It's wonderful to find an organization that makes giving such an intricate part of their company model-USANA leads by example," said Dave Phillips, founder of Children's Hunger Fund. "We cherish and value USANA's generous partnership and the friendship of Dr. Wentz and Dave Wentz through the years."
The fundraising celebration, hosted by Nickelodeon actor Patrick Levis in the Grand Ballroom at the Pasadena Center, will give guests a nostalgic look into the history of CHF's success and its vision for the future. Visit ChildrensHungerFund.org/celebrate to reserve dinner tickets.
