- (1888PressRelease) August 16, 2011 - London, UK - On 01/08/2011, urban rap duo Henry "Reks" Nwasokwa & David "Blaks" Blake, collectively known as JFXMUSIC, will release their highly anticipated new single 'LIGHTS OFF'. The release of 'LIGHTS OFF' follows the success of JFXMUSIC's debut single "HEARTBEAT" which received airtime on many TV and Radio stations, including Flava TV. The boys are known for their pioneering fusion of genres such as hip-hop, dance and rap, as well as their energetic performance style and do not disappoint with new single 'LIGHTS OFF', an effortlessly charismatic tune with a beat that will get your feet moving.
As well as writing and recording their newest single, JFXMUSIC have spent much of early 2011 performing live, appearing at venues such as London's Ronny Scott's Club and various live shows including iLUVlive and The Sunday Show. At times labelled the UK's answer to Outkast because of their clever musical interaction and galvanising live performances, the close bond and musical understanding between the duo, who have grown up together from age 4, is second to none. Indeed, the boys are accomplished producers, as well as rappers and songwriters; a distinct array of talents which come to fruition in the elegant production of the "LIGHTS OFF" single, as well as its masterful execution.
Reks and Blaks have been performing together as JFXMUSIC from 2006 onwards, and since that time have managed to sell over 25,000 copies of their mix tapes in the UK. 2009 saw the duo revise their musical direction, incorporating elements from several distinct genres into their eclectic musical style, and the unmistakeable sound of JFXMUSIC has continued to go from strength to strength ever since.
