Unveil the Chilling Tales of Rochester's Past at the Ghost Walk 2010
The Landmark Society's 17th Annual Walk Through Rochester's Ghoulish Past.
- Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) October 14, 2010 - The dark side of Rochester's past comes back to life at the 17th annual Landmark Society Ghost Walk, the nights of October 22, 23, 29, and 30 in the heart of Rochester's historic East Avenue neighborhood.
Those who dare will witness chilling theatrical reenactments, escorted by lantern-bearing guides down the darkened streets of the historic Arnold Park neighborhood. At each destination one of five ghastly, true-to-history tales will unfold-deadly disasters, eerie escapes, heartbreaking betrayal, and terrifying misfortune. Plus, the Ghost Walk's most popular performance will return-the tale of Dr. Tumblety will reveal why the Scotland Yard was looking for him.
Tours will embark from The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 597 East Avenue, every 10 minutes, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. October 22, 23, 29, and 30. While waiting to depart, guests are invited to enjoy entertainment and gory history trivia. At the conclusion of the Walk, complimentary donuts and cider will be provided, and each participant will have an opportunity to be entered in a drawing to win an engraved Ghost Walk iPod. Landmark books, and retro Halloween treats and tricks will also be available at the Boo-tique.
