Universal Pumping Represents EMS Ram Pumps
EMS Ram Pumps now being represented by Universal Pumping.
- (1888PressRelease) February 16, 2016 - Universal Pumping solutions is excited to represent the line of EMS Ram Pumps including Filter Press Feed Pumps, sludge pumps, grit pumping, grit removal, and de-sludging. Often referred to as plunger, reciprocating or piston pumps they offer a greater suction lift for dredging and pumping sewage, waste water, backwash and chemical slurry, grout or effluent. The entire EMS line of Ram Pumps is known for quiet, slow speed operation and minimal maintenance.
The VRH Ram Pump is available in various sizes. The heavy duty, hydraulically driven VRH is the most powerful pump in the range. Sludge valves are large gravity ball type and are suitable for pumping viscous material. The pump design creates a suction vacuum equivalent to 30 feet of static suction lift and is available in sizes up to 475 gpm and up to 700 psi. The VRH Ram Pump is ideal for heavy duty sludge transfer, filter press feeding and is suitable for continuous operation.
The mechanically driven VRM Ram Pump is one of the most popular pumps in the range. The mechanical arrangement features vee belts, a reduction gearbox and a crankshaft final drive providing a basic, simple to understand driveline. All VRM pumps create a suction vacuum equivalent to 30 feet of static suction lift and is available in sizes up to 103 gpm and up to 71psi. The huge suction draws thick sludge up to 15%ds, The VRM Ram Pump is ideal for heavy duty de-sludging, and is suitable for continuous use 24/7.
The mechanically driven VRMG is the ideal grit dredging pump. The mechanical arrangement features vee belts, a reduction gearbox and a crankshaft final drive providing a basic, simple to understand driveline. The pump's massive suction enables heavy deposits of grit to be dredged easily from up to 30 feet of depth, thereby eliminating the need for a dry well for the pumps along with the associated civil costs and the knock-on problems of having the pumps in a confined space.
The CVR Ram Pump, the smallest and simplest ram pump in the EMS pump range features a crankshaft driven reciprocating ram powered by a directly coupled motor & gearbox assembly. The flow of sludge through the pump is controlled by large ball type suction & discharge valves. The sludge valve
