United States Power Squadrons Digital Media Library Debuts Vessel Inspection Video
The United States Power Squadrons (USPS) is now premiering the new "VESSEL INSPECTION" streaming media video in its Digital Media Library (DML).
- (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2016 - Raleigh, NC - The United States Power Squadrons (USPS) announces the debut of its streaming media video focused on vessel inspection in its Digital Media Library (DML) online at www.uspsdml.org and as a free mobile app.
The new "Vessel Inspection" video shows viewers how to inspect their boats' systems and safety equipment by completing a pre-departure checklist, noting legally required equipment according to state and federal regulations as well as manufacturer recommendations.
Viewers will also learn to pay special attention to mechanical equipment and their boats' engines.
Also featured are special tips such as how to inspect items appropriate for the intended voyage and forecasted weather, and for the particular docking, mooring, or anchoring destination.
Along with the new video, the USPS DML is adding a related boater education slideshow on VHF as well as several new safe boating images.
The USPS DML is also distributing its "Vessel Inspection" video through popular social media including Facebook and YouTube. All digital media in the library is offered at no charge.
The USPS Digital Media Library is produced under a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the US Coast Guard.
