UNEDA Announces 2012 Annual Meeting
The United Network Equipment Dealer Association (UNEDA) has announced it will be holding its seventh annual meeting in Las Vegas on May 4th and 5th.
- Austin-San Marcos, TX (1888PressRelease) May 02, 2012 - Conrad Vickroy, Vice President of Duane Whitlow & Co. and President of the UNEDA Board of Directors made the announcement to the general membership on behalf of the Board. Conrad stated, "The UNEDA Board is pleased to announce that we are returning to Las Vegas for our 7th annual business meeting. With the international airport enabling easy access along with best in class lodging and ample access to board room facilities, Vegas is the clear choice for our highest attended meeting every year." These logistics have allowed us to confirm guest speakers from Homeland Security and on Counterfeit detection as UNEDA continues its battle to protect the legitimate used networking equipment industry.
The gathering will give UNEDA members an opportunity to participate in a series of meetings as well as special breakout sessions to discuss the continuing implementation of industry best business practices. Additionally, attendees will review the association's progress in addressing global initiatives such as working with government agencies to help put an end to the trafficking of stolen, fraudulent, and counterfeit equipment on the secondary market.
"UNEDA already has commitments from over 250 members who will be participating in this year's conference," Board member John Stafford of Vology Data Systems (Tampa, FL) stated. "We also have presentations from non-member companies Instox and VST Counterfeit Detection along with a special presentation from US Homeland Security" Stafford continued. The conference will take place at the Mirage in Las Vegas. It is advised all members make their bookings as early as possible to allay transport and logistical delays.
As part of the two-day annual gathering, UNEDA members will have an opportunity to hear about the latest developments in the areas of ethics and standards and cooperative sourcing strategies as well as the latest tips for identifying fake gear.
In 2011, UNEDA member companies topped $2B in annual revenues and it's well established membership spans 13 countries across 4 continents.
