2014 Board of Directors Announced.
- Omaha, NE-IA (1888PressRelease) June 12, 2014 - The United Network Equipment Dealer Association (UNEDA), an alliance of approximately 280 pre-owned network equipment dealers worldwide, has announced the results of elections for its 2014 - 2015 Board of Directors, as well as welcomed in many well-qualified new directors.
Lyle Gore, Managing Director at Ethos Dynamics, was re-elected to another one-year term as President and Andy Malivuk, Vice President of Vendor Relations at Vology Data Systems, was elected as Vice-President. Justin Payne with Network Hardware Supply was re-elected as Secretary while Scott Hobin at Hula Networks was re-elected as UNEDA Treasurer.
In addition to returning officers, re-elected board members include: Neb Altinis, President at Pan Atlantic Technology; Ben Maroney, Cisco Product Manager at Impulse Technology; Chris Stone, Brokerage and Acquisitions Manager for Network Hardware Resale; and Mike Syiek, Strategic Sales at Andover Consulting Group.
The Board is pleased with an outstanding slate of new directors this year consisting of: Jesse Johnson, Senior Vice President (Americas) at Hardware.com; Jonathan Lesciauskas, International Sales Manager at Atlantix Global Systems; Meghan McCoy, Marketing Director at ndNH Corp; and Sheryl Posey, Sr. Sales Director with Austin Tele-Services.
The UNEDA Board is working on several big projects for 2014. After finishing our first industry survey at the end of 2013 with Technology Business Research (www.tbri.com) we have a better understanding of the needs of the community. Lyle Gore, current President of the Board of Directors, says "The major projects on the table in 2014 are continuing to fight against the Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA), working with Washington and Brussels on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and continuing to further both End User and reseller rights in the refurbished IT marketplace. The proposed MFA bill would put undue burdens on small and medium sized businesses (and is taxation without representation). TTIP would be a huge win for End User customers who want free ability to source their IT needs from whomever they choose, not only from the OEM directed suppliers."
