UFA and MiFarm Partner in Innovative Grain Storage Protection Technology

(1888PressRelease) August 06, 2013 - UFA Co-operative Limited has partnered and MiFarm Asset Management will be working together to help provide farmers in Alberta with incremental tools to protect their on-farm bin-based assets and increase the value of their grain.

The MiFarm Asset Management Solution monitors the temperature, humidity and storage level of grain in each of a farmer's bins, and provides regular updates which are available to a farmer from any web enabled computer, tablet or smart phone. UFA and MiFarm will establish a number of new demonstration installations of the MiFarm technology in Central and Southern Alberta with UFA customers. Results from these demonstration installations are expected to be shared in late 2013 and early 2014.

The MiFarm Asset Management Solution is being installed in both new bin installations, and as a retrofit to existing bins. UFA's grain storage specialists and bin installers will be working closely with MiFarm's technical installation and service team to establish and evaluate all new sites.
