- (1888PressRelease) June 06, 2013 - LOS ANGELES, CA -- UEvolution, a new fitness and wellness club located in Downtown Los Angeles, recently sponsored the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking's (CAST) 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom Event, which was hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith and co-hosted by Sara Rue, Nicole Scherzinger, Mira Sorvino and Russell Simmons. The UEvolution CEO and Founder Pascale Rothman is a human trafficking survivor who helped sponsor the event because she is passionate about helping victims of human trafficking to get the support they need to rebuild their lives and to be happy. "It was such an honor for UEvolution to be a part of the CAST event. The organization does so much to assist people who are trafficked and works diligently to end modern-day slavery in the United States," says Rothman, whose team will offer a workshop to empower human trafficking survivors by educating them about nutrition and fitness.
"We believe that as people become fit internally and externally, they are more inclined to give back to the community," says Rothman. UEvolution aligns with different charities and causes to encourage its members to learn more about these organizations and to support them financially and with their time. Each organization is selected based on transparency, effectiveness, and the level of resonance between the cause and UEvolution's team and members. The charitable organization is featured on the UEvolution website with information on how UEvolution is supporting the cause, and how its members and supporters can get involved and raise awareness of the cause. UEvolution members can also make a charitable contribution through the fitness club's rewards program.
The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) will be the featured UEvolution charity for the month of June. Next, UEvolution will spotlight The Best Friends Animal Society, which is the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.
UEvolution focuses on improving the mind, body and spirit of its members, and is scheduled to open in Downtown Los Angeles in June. UEvolution is one of the first fitness clubs on the West Coast to introduce the MoveStrong. It also focuses on the benefits of functional and mood-based training as well as injury prevention and features TRX Suspension Training Devices, Technogym Kinesis One, and Peak PilateSystem Deluxe. The on-site wellness spa at UEvolution offers massage therapy, physical therapy, infrared body wraps and more in the private, luxurious hotel-like atmosphere with spacious bathrooms and private amenities.
The fitness and wellness center is currently offering a Pre-Opening Special ($195) to the first 100 people who register. The package includes 30-day club access, a nutrition session with a certified nutrition educator, a one-on-one high-efficiency workout, six group classes, spa treatments and the enrollment fee is waived ($1,035 value) upon membership.
