UCP of Central Florida Celebrates 20th Annual Gala with Beatles Entertainment and Awards of Distinction for the Walt Disney World(R) Resort
UCP of Central Florida Celebrates 20th Annual Gala.
- Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) February 13, 2013 - UCP of Central Florida's 20th Anniversary Gala, An Evening at the Palace, will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa in the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort. Actress Cheryl Hines will be joined by many of Central Florida's top community and business leaders to help raise funds for UCP, a not-for-profit charter school providing the best support, education, and therapy to children with and without disabilities.
The highly anticipated event will celebrate the children who have been touched by UCP of Central Florida over the last 58 years. Guests will enjoy live music and dancing to Beatles-themed entertainment, a gourmet meal paired with wine and spirits, and incredible auction items. Two philanthropic leaders will be awarded prestigious distinctions including the Jack Holloway Star of Gratitude Award and The Jackie Bailes Legacy Award.
Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort has been chosen as the 2013 recipient of the Jack Holloway Star of Gratitude Award. For the past 20 years, Disney VoluntEARS have performed thousands of hours of service in support of UCP events. The participation of Disney VoluntEARS contributes to our mission of making it possible for children with disabilities to reach their full potential. This award is named after the legacy of Jack Holloway, founder of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, for his life-long work as an entrepreneur and philanthropist of many worthwhile causes including UCP of Central Florida.
Emmy-nominated actress, Cheryl Hines, is the fifth recipient of the Jackie Bailes Legacy Award. This award is presented, in honor of Jackie Bailes, who has dedicated her life to enrich the lives of the children and families at UCP. Hines has worked tirelessly, standing up for the children as their advocate and benefactor. She has served as an active member on UCP's National Board of Trustees and has hosted UCP of Central Florida's gala event for several years. Her leadership has been instrumental in communicating the significance of UCP's programs nationwide, while inspiring others to also embrace the mission.
An Evening at the Palace is presented by Republic National Distributing Company and sponsored by Fishback Dominick, Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort, Freeman, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, PSAV, Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa, Magic 107.7, Orlando Life and Orlando Family Magazine. All proceeds benefit support, education and therapy programs provided by UCP of Central Florida for children with and without special needs Sponsorships and tickets.
