The First Regional Economic Growth Crowdfunding Event In the Nation.
- Myrtle Beach-Conway-North Myrtle Beach, SC (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2013 - Innova TV Networks and Rezernet, both based in Wilmington, N. C., made successful presentations to the business and investor community of North Horry County, South Carolina, on October 10, 2013.
The event at the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce was the first in the nation that combined the new accredited investor crowdfunding format with a regional economic growth strategy that promotes investment in local technology companies.
"I was pleased with the turnout and support we received from the North Myrtle Beach business community," said Thomas Vass, the manager of the Grand Strand Regional Capital Exchange. "I think we demonstrated the validity of the concept of bringing technology companies from Wilmington to the regional business community in the Grand Strand, and I hope our monthly event will cause a rapid increase in the rate of private investment in regional tech companies in Georgetown, Horry, Brunswick and New Hanover counties," Vass added.
Jack Pennington, the CEO of Innova TV Networks, described how his technology of internet television is changing the market dynamics for small college sporting events and education services to broadcast live over the internet.
"Our technology allows targeted national and regional spot announcements and ads to be inserted automatically into the programming," said Pennington. "Our technology converts the revenue model for small colleges to broadcast sporting events from a big cost factor to a revenue-generating activity for the colleges," he added.
Bob Blum, President of Resernet, described how his web-based software allows private property owners to easily find vacation rental tenants and sign them up with his reservation service. "Our real estate reservation management solutions allows our clients to provide immediate availability and booking of their rental property, saving 90% of their time over the more manual process," Blum stated.
Both companies are seeking growth capital to expand their markets.
