Two Valley Men Named Childhelp Mega Raffle Early Bird Winners

Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) March 12, 2016 - A Scottsdale business man and soon to be ASU grad are the Early Bird winners of the Childhelp Mega Raffle. Childhelp - a leading nonprofit dedicated to the prevention, intervention and treatment programs for child abuse and neglect - launched the raffle in February.

On Wednesday afternoon, March 9 Kevin Cadwell of Scottsdale and Michael Sanchez of Mesa learned the big news.

Kevin Cadwell is the winner of a 2016 Lexus RX and London vacation package for two plus $20,000.

Cadwell said, "When I saw the prizes and then learned about Childhelp I decided to buy tickets thinking it would be nice to win, but really need to do what we can to put an end to child abuse. This is a real surprise!"

Mesa resident and ASU senior, Michael Sanchez is the winner of a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 and a trip for two to Monte Carlo plus $16,000. Sanchez is studying Biochemistry and will graduate May, 2016.

"This is the best graduation gift," said Sanchez. "I saw the prize brochure my father received and then read about the raffle online. I thought it was a good cause and the odds and prizes were so good my girlfriend and I bought tickets. I am so excited to tell my family!"

In total, Childhelp Mega Raffle will be giving away 2,900 prizes, with every ticket having a one and 20 chance of winning a prize. The grand prize is a new Meritage home or $700,000 cash option. The second grand prize is a 2016 Maserati GranTurismo Sport or $150,000. Net proceeds from ticket sales will support Childhelp and their fight to end child abuse and neglect.

Childhelp Mega Raffle Director, Kathy Rice states, "There are more than 13,000 reported cases of child abuse in Arizona every year." adds Rice. "The Childhelp Mega Raffle is a unique opportunity for the public to get behind Childhelp and get involved."
