Michael will attend Miami University of Ohio and Nick will go to Marquette University in the fall. The Evans Scholarship is a 4 year, full tuition and housing scholarship awarded to deserving caddies that meet the criteria of academic excellence, caddie record, leadership and character, and financial need. Joe Glomb, Naperville Country Club Assistant Golf Professional and Caddie Master couldn't be more pleased about the success of these two Naperville Country Club caddies.     Michael is a senior at Benet Academy. He plans to major in Business and Finance at Miami. Michael is a self-taught musician playing guitar and drums and currently playing in two bands. He is involved in the philosophy club, guitar club, variety show and editor of the school newspaper. Michael is the son of Megan and Bob Tempestini of Plainfield. He has caddied at NCC for 3 years racking up over 100 rounds caddied. Michael also enjoys caddying in the Invitational and other tournaments and hanging out with the other caddies.

    Nick attends Batavia High School. He plans to study Biochemistry at Marquette with plans to go to medical school and become a Pediatrician. Nick is an avid golfer and is captain of his high school's golf team. He hopes to walk on to the Marquette golf team. Nick is the son of Nicole LaRocco and Chris LaRocco of Batavia. His brother Luke also caddies at NCC. He has two young brothers as well - Johnathan (2) and Jake (7 months). Nick caddied 100 "loops" in just two years at NCC. His favorite memory of caddying is when Mr. Bennett was down 1 in his President's Cup match on 17 and made two clutch putts on 17 and 18 to make birdie and win the match 1 up! Nick says "NCC has been a great place to work and an amazing experience every step of the way."

    The Evans Scholars Foundation was founded in 1930 by the Western Golf Association and Charles "Chick" Evans Jr., one of the most celebrated amateur golfers of all time. Since then, more than 10,000 men and women have graduated as Evans Scholars. Currently, 870 students are enrolled at 18 universities across the nation, including 14 where the Evans Scholars Foundation owns and operates Scholarship Houses.
