Unfortunately, many veterans across the country are struggling with unemployment and homelessness, relying on others to come to their aid as they once did for their country. For such veterans, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Madison is running the Movers for Military program.

The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans estimates that in the United States approximately 1.5 million veterans are considered at risk of homelessness due to poverty or lack of support. With the Movers for Military initiative, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® seeks to support those who gave of themselves.

Working in tandem with schools and other community organizations, including the VFW and several KinderCare centers locally, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Madison is collecting essential items for donation to Porchlight, an organization providing critical support to veterans in crisis.

Introduced in 2012, the Movers for Military program collected more than 500 items for donation to homeless veterans in Madison, while also raising awareness to the struggles so many veterans face.
