Twin Berlin To Release Debut Album November 19 Follow-Up to Acclaimed EP Produced by Travis Barker
It's been a long time coming. After four years together as a band, Twin Berlin will release their debut full-length album, Sleazebrain, Tuesday, November 19. Featuring eleven tracks of belligerent garage rock and roll, the album presents a myriad of songs born out of anxiety and self doubt, uniquely executed with a confident, sarcastic swagger.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 17, 2013 - The follow-up to their acclaimed There Goes My Virtue EP (produced by Travis Barker), Sleazebrain draws its inspiration from engineer Steve Albini (Pixies, Nirvana) explains songwriter Matt Lopez. "Listening to raw albums like Surfer Rosa, Pinkerton and In Utero influenced us to record Sleazebrain on our own, without the help of recording engineers and producers."
Recorded last winter in guitarist Tim Taylor's house in Vermont, the guys cut themselves from the outside world. There was no internet. No friends. Just complete snowed-in isolation. Lopez continues, "One weekend Sean and James couldn't make it up to Vermont and Tim and I were tracking guitars by ourselves. Since we're suckers for fuzz pedals and have no self control, it sounds like there's an orchestra of layered feedback and fuzz."
Twin Berlin look to build upon the momentum of their last album that saw them perform at the Rockstar Uproar Festival (Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Coheed & Cambria, Circa Survive), Radio 929's Earthfest (Third Eye Blind, Spin Doctors, Switchfoot, Eve6), The Outlaw Roadshow at SXSW (presented by Ryan Spaulding and Adam Duritz of Counting Crows), CMJ Music Maration, and appear on NBC's Deception.
The self-released LP will be available digitally on November 19 and available physically in a limited-run.
