TVS Television Network to Launch Video Techniques Premium Sports Video on Demand Channel on Vimeo Platform in February 2018

TVS will present premium classic and current sports video from it's iconic library and from the Video Techniques classic sports library. In addition, TVS Video Techniques will produce new premium sports programming for the Vimeo platform. End Quote

(1888PressRelease) January 18, 2018 - TVS Television Network will launch the TVS Video Techniques Premium Sports Channel on the Vimeo platform in February 2018. This premium channel will allow viewers to subscribe to a monthly offerings of classic sports events from the TVS Television network and Video Techniques libraries.

TVS Television Network has been producing and distributing sports television programming since 1960. Later in the decade, Video Techniques began producing and distributing premium sports programming - mainly championship boxing - to theaters. TVS was acquired by Tom Ficara in 1990 and Video Techniques was acquired by Ficara from Jay Merkle in 2005.

The TVS library contains major college basketball, major college football bowl games, WFL Football, IWA Wrestling, LPBT Bowling, PGA and LPGA Golf, NASCAR and Indy Car Racing, NASL Soccer, Alan King Tennis, Championship Boxing and other major sports events from the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's.

The Video Techniques Library includes championship fights from Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Jerry Quarry, Bob Foster, Oscar Bonavena, and Ken Norton from the 1960's and 1970's.

TVS Ad Sales.Com, headed by Senior Vice President Jerry Wolff, will handle event sponsorship of the classic games and the new sports that TVS Video Techniques will offer on the Vimeo platform. Jerry Wolff for many years worked with former Video Techniques head Jay Merkle in establishing regional sports pay channels on cable TV, the successor to the theater distribution of such events. Wolff has also worked with Ficara in his cable TV production and distribution business prior to Ficara's acquisition of TVS, and then again upon the establishment of TV4U as a multi channel IPTV service. Ficara (sports programming) and Wolff (ad sales and marketing) also represented the Nostalgia TV Network, now owned by TVS, in the 1990's.

New events produced by TVS for the TVS Video Techniques Premium Service will include Boxing Illustrated Championships, Roller Derby, IWA Wrestling, World Futsal (Indoor Soccer) Championships, Arm Wrestling Championships, Power Lifting Championships, and Auto Racing Championships.

TVS will present these events in their full length versions and they will be available for rental and sale to viewers. The TVS Video Techniques Premium Sports Service will debut in February, 2018.
