The Hollywood Wrestling early 1950's TV retrospective showcases the great TV wrestlers of the era as well as legendary actor turned sportscaster Dick Lane. The showcase celebrates 50 years of IWA Wrestling From TVS Television Network as they move IWA Wrestling from Nevada to Hollywood for the 2025 season.
- (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2024 - TVS Select Network, a 24/7 streaming FAST channel on the WatchYour.TV platform, is now offering a Hollywood Wrestling TV extravaganza to showcase the vintage TV series from the Paramount Network in the early 1950's as well as legendry actor turned sportscaster Dick Lane. The series features the top wrestlers of the era including Gorgeous George, Argentino Rocca, and promoter Jules Strongbow.
The special series is a part of the 50th Anniversary of IWA Wrestling, the ground breaking pro wrestling circuit formed by the TVS Television Network in 1975 to showcase pro wrestling on a national basis twenty years after Hollywood Wrestling ceased to air with the demise of the original Paramount Network in the early 1950's.
IWA Wrestling continues to appear on the TVS Select Network. It includes stars of the era such as Ernie Ladd, Bo Bo Brazil, The Somoans, Tex McKenzie, Bulldog Brower, and Ox Baker. IWA wrestling has been produced by TVS in Florida, Reno, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Dallas, Charlotte, and Bakersfield.
The TVS Select Network tribute to Hollywood Wrestling and announcer Dick Lane is a means of celebrating 50 years of IWA Wrestling as well as the 2025 return of pro wrestling to Hollywood with IWA Hollywood Wrestling. A series of specials will be produced in 2025 by TVS Showcase Productions which produces 500 new shows yearly for the 40 TVS 24/7 streaming FAST networks on WtchYour.TV.
