TV Pro Gear's Flypak(TM) shoots SMPTE Award Ceremony and Presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award to George Lucas
SMPTE worked with TV Pro Gear's Flypak™, filming Honorees such as George Lucas, accepting awards at the 2014 Honors & Awards Ceremony.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2014 - TV Pro Gear was one of the sponsors that participated in the SMPTE (Society of Motion Pictures & Television Engineers) 2014 Annual Conference & Exhibition. This prestigious event took place at the Loews Hollywood Hotel on October 20-23rd 2014. TV Pro Gear used their most advanced Flypack to record the SMPTE Honors & Awards Ceremony where George Lucas received SMPTE's Lifetime Achievement award.
SMPTE Board of Governors, John Maizels, directed the Honors & Awards Ceremony. "Using TV Pro Gear's Flypak™ was a very interesting experience. Every time I asked for a new requirement, it was easily accomplished. The extra coms was no problem, the audio, no problem. Working with the TV Pro Gear crew was actually a delight".
The new Flypak™ is equipped with six of Panasonic's AK-HC3800 cameras, a For-A 24-input Switcher with 2 Mix/Effects Banks, a 2-Channel Chyron Graffiti title/graphic generator and a six-channel 3Play-440 instant replay/slow motion system from Newtek.
