Turner Construction Breaks New Ground For New Landmark On The University Of Texas Campus
The University of Texas at Dallas is gaining a new visitor center and campus bookstore, with Turner Construction Company breaking ground on Jan. 21st.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 04, 2011 - Turner Construction, the nation's leading general builder, plans to develop this new 29,000 sq. ft. facility located on the western portion of the campus circle drive.
The facility will serve as a landmark identifying the new south entry to the campus. In addition, the facility will house a new campus technology store, a new campus copy center as well as a flexible multifunction public space to provide reception and gathering spaces. The new visitor center and campus bookstore building will incorporate many green and sustainable aspects. For example, maximum day lighting for energy cost savings has been incorporated into the building's design and the building has been designed for flexibility to adapt to changes in technology, efficiency standards and usage needs.
