  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) July 10, 2020 - Tumblehome, Inc. today announced the virtual Fossil adventure Dinosaurs Are Not Dead! by Tumblehome author & longtime research paleontologist Barnas Monteith. The virtual adventure is designed for aspiring paleontologists 7+ years of age. It showcases latest discoveries in the world of vertebrate (dinosaur) paleontology, which prove just why and how dinosaurs evolved into modern day birds.

In this virtual class, Monteith shows some of the latest finds, including the smallest dinosaur ever (only 4 inches), the first fully intact dinosaur fossil with feathers, and complete bird-like dinosaur fossils discovered in China. Participants will be treated to some never-before-seen high power microscope (Scanning Electron Microscope) pictures of sauropod (like Brontosaurus) and theropod (like T-rex) dinosaur and bird eggs so you can see just how closely related they are. Tour a virtual fossil lab and much, much more!

Monteith spent over a decade in the American West, from Montana to Arizona, as well as Central Canada, and parts of China, digging various fossils ranging from microscopic fossil fragments to skulls more than half the size of his body, in order to understand the history of the world. His research was some of the first comprehensive work done on the biochemistry of dinosaur eggs. His cross-disciplinary work involving computers and paleontology led to his work on computer materials and software. He is now looking at ways to integrate artificial intelligence with modern paleontology.
