True Crime Author Signs Two New Deals

(1888PressRelease) September 18, 2012 - Jay Carter Brown has signed a new deal with ECW Press to release his latest book titled "A Foolproof Guide to Growing Marijuana Indoors". Counting on his past as a cannabis grower, importer, dealer and smuggler Brown has become the latest Ganga Guru to provide tips on growing, cooking, procuring and using cannabis. With Medical Marijuana becoming a reality and the cost of pot remaining expensive both in cannabis dispensaries and on the street Brown believes there is a need for alternative sources of marijuana supply. With a "keep it simple stupid" mentality and hi resolution photos, Brown's book offers that alternative in a language that anyone can understand.

Brown has also signed a deal with *Audible. The signing promises increased circulation of his true crime book, Smuggler's Blues as audio tapes and CDs become more popular in world where "free time" is an oxymoron. Already available in hard copy and as an internet download Smuggler's Blues has done well for a first time publication out of Canada and the deal with Audible will expand its present audience in that country as well as the USA, Europe and Japan. The release of the Smuggler's Blues audio book is slated for the fall of 2012. Jay Carter Brown has also authored an e-novel titled Operation Payback that is available at most major e-book distributors on the internet. To promote sales of Operation Payback, Brown has released the entire first half of the novel for free on his website at www.jaycarterbrown.com. His site also includes short stories, pot trivia and recipes.

Audible, the subsidiary of online retail giant Amazon.com sells downloadable audio versions of books, as well as radio broadcasts, speeches, stand-up comedy, and other spoken word performances, via its Audible website. Some 85,000 audio books are available immediately and more are being added every day. Users can listen to programs on their computer or via wireless mobile device - iPad, iPhone, or Kindle, to name a few, or burn to CD. Audible has distribution rights to content from some 1,000 content providers, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes. Audible also provides audio books for Apple's iTunes store. The company has international versions of its site for consumers in the UK, France, and Germany.
