  • Las Vegas, NV-AZ (1888PressRelease) February 23, 2011 - Triumph…A Journey Through MagicalityTM, is making a sensation and dazzling audiences with magic, music, and illusion in Vegas. Masterminded by the magical duo of Larry Fischer and Rafael Palacios, this thrilling mystical journey is beautifully stylized in "steampunk fashion." The newest trend that takes its cue from the Victorian sci-fi elements of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, making them modern, hip, and offering a fresh, romanticized view on technology by making it retro.

"It is a spell-binding theatrical adventure… You won't just see it. You will sense it and live it." Robin Leach says.

With the subtitle "A Journey Through MagicalityTM," senses are heightened with the mind-bending concept of time travel and parallel universes during the 75-minute show at the Las Vegas Hilton. The audience will experience the excitement as they embark on a quest to revive the time warp continuum and journey back to historic moments in time visiting characters at the Great Wall of China, 1893 World's Fair, Dante's Inferno, Persia and the Mayan civilization.

"People absolutely love the journey back in time. It's all very remarkable," remarks the Las Vegas Weekly. Craig Ferguson says it's a "Must See!."
There's no question in Fischer's mind what Triumph is. "It's thrilling. It's cutting edge. It's the elaborate costumes, style as seen in Wild Wild West with Will Smith and Kevin Kline."

Even Google has jumped on board the trend, recently featuring an aquatic steampunk themed logo, and The New York Times agrees. "Steampunk has picked up momentum… it has staying power."
Triumph captures the audience with a chilling original music score and steamy sensual dance choreographed by the talented Chet Walker. Breathtaking set designs created by award-winning scenic designer Kelly Tighe enhance the production.

"[It's] Something completely different from the other magic and illusion shows," says Las Vegas Hilton entertainment executive Rick White.
Palacios attributes the inspiration to bring a show to Vegas to Siegfried and Roy. "I had a dream having my own show in Vegas. They encouraged us. I hope they'll be proud."

The Magical Minds of Larry Fischer and Rafael Palacios

Rafael Palacios grew up as a member of The Flying Palacios, the first trapeze act at Circus Circus. Larry Fischer was a Beverly Hills native on the brink of early retirement funded by ownership of six automobile dealerships and years of work in the television industry.

After meeting in 1986 the two quickly bonded, they joined the Las Vegas legends Siegfried and Roy backstage, where Siegfried suggested Palacios and Fischer might team up and do magic together.

They took to the idea immediately realizing Palacios's creative visions, strength and courage and Fischer's cunning intellect could be a winning combination. After headlining on the famed Royal Caribbean Cruise Line for the last 17 years, they decided to embark on a new adventure: Triumph Las Vegas.

They knew they had to create something new, non-traditional and spectacular for the Vegas spotlight. The Will Smith/Kevin Kline film, Wild, Wild West had captured their imaginations with it's own unique style, as did the concept of time travel on stage. They spent time researching the emerging stylistic genre of steampunk, where they began to realize their dynamic vision for Triumph.
