Washington, Pa. Lawyer Douglas R. Nolin Returns to Law Firm Following a Six-month Partners' Sabbatical.

Nolin of Peacock Keller has returned to the Washington, Pa., law firm after enjoying a six-month partners' sabbatical this year. Nolin, whose practice focuses on personal injury, civil litigation, product liability, insurance defense and health / hospital matters, traveled throughout the western part of the United States with his family before returning home to Washington County and other endeavors.
"Peacock Keller generously grants its partners a one time, six-month sabbatical to pursue outside interests and spend time with family," stated Nolin, who has been with the firm since 1986. "I cannot thank the firm and our clients enough for their patience and support as I enjoyed this time of discovery, learning and recreation. It was a privilege to be permitted to step away from my work for this time, and I am humbled to return to serving my clients and my law firm as my sabbatical ends."
Peacock Keller instituted its partners' sabbatical program 10 years ago in keeping with the firm's emphasis on quality of life, in addition to the practice of law. Nine partners have taken advantage of the opportunity, which has proven beneficial to the individual attorneys as well as the firm.

Nolin joined Peacock Keller after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Thomas J. Terputac of the Washington County Court of Common Pleas. Since that time, his practice has centered on litigation. He has tried cases in numerous Western Pennsylvania counties, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Nolin is also certified as a mediator by the Pittsburgh Mediation Center.
A member of the American, Pennsylvania and Washington County bar associations and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Nolin is also active within his community. He is a member and past president of the Claysville Business Association and serves on the Session of the Presbyterian Church of Claysville, where he also teaches Sunday School.
Nolin is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, where he earned membership in the Order of the Barrister, on the Appellate Moot Court Board, and the Law Review. He and his wife live on a small farm in East Finley Township with their son and daughter.
