- (1888PressRelease) April 02, 2011 - Mudpie the trend forecaster has an ongoing conversation with the creative industries via the company LinkedIn group. Now with over 8,000 members it is the largest dedicated fashion group on LinkedIn and definitely the place for the fashion business to network. Now that 1 in every 13 people is connected online the phenomenon that is social network is truly the future of marketing communications.
As Fiona Jenvey CEO of Mudpie says "Social networking is a fantastic way to keep in touch with the industry. The secret of our success is to promote the members of the group and listen to their discussions rather than just pushing our own brand and products. The purpose of the group is to promote fashion professionals and provide an open forum for industry opinion. We decided to invest in LinkedIn rather than Facebook because LinkedIn is a business to business social network rather than a personal one. Fiona says "Of course, Mudpie does have Facebook pages but we find that serious industry professionals prefer LinkedIn." Within the Apparel & Fashion industry Fiona Jenvey has 63,000 people in her network. Add to that those in Textiles and Design and the numbers increase to over 132,000. She is always happy to receive initiations from anyone in the industry. http://uk.linkedin.com/in/fionajenvey
