Trenching on Rome's La Colorada - Esmeralda, Sonora, Property-November 19, 2011

- (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2011 - Last week, on the La Colorada - Esmeralda Gold Grid, bulldozer trenching and track construction continued to facilitate geochemical sampling and RC drill access. Most of the initially planned trenches for the Esmeralda Mine and South Zone areas have been completed. The left picture or map, (below or on website), shows all the initial trenches planned, from north to south, around: (i) the abandoned La Patria Gold Mine, (ii) the abandoned La Esmeralda Gold Mine, and (iii) the soil, gold anomalies in the South Zone. Planned trenches are marked as green lines. The right picture, (below or on website) shows part of a trench in the South Zone that totals about a kilometer in length. The trenches cut through a number of old gold workings, some of which are shown as purple crosses in the left map. All trenches are being sampled at about five meter intervals. The geochemical results from these samples will help to optimize the location of reverse circulation drill holes.
This week, bulldozer work on the Esmeralda Grid on the La Colorada Property will continue. Geochemical sampling of the trenches/tracks will advance. These samples will be systematically analyzed by our in-house Niton XRF instrument. Alvarez will continue work on updating all data and organizing sample rejects from Don Luis. Godwin, in Vancouver, will be preparing budgets for Rome's ongoing exploration.
