- (1888PressRelease) April 05, 2019 - Ambalika Institute of Management & Technology, Lucknow has developed a Trap Monitoring System under the Supervision of Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Shekhar Tandon, to assist the Forest Department in Wild-Life Control work.
The Trap Monitoring System can be retrofit on any existing wildlife traps.
The sensor sends a Text message to the Trapper’s cell phone within minutes of the Trap door closing.
The Trapper can then switch on the camera and view the animal locked in the cage, from anywhere in the world.
The Device is self-contained and will have enough power for the duration of the operation.
The trapper has the benefit of the monitoring the trap round the clock and the camera has day and night vision. For longer duration the device can also be coupled with solar power.
Sometimes it takes several days for any animal to get trapped in the cage, resulting in the forest officials making several unproductive visits to the site; and sometimes animals are trapped for several days without the knowledge of the Forest officials endangering the health of the trapped animal.
The Trap will help the Forest Department by saving Time and Money; and by immediate action by the Forest dept., the device will help in maintaining the health of the animal.
The Trap is an automated Fail-Safe methodology to notify the trapper as soon as an animal enters the Trap. The product will work in most environmental conditions.
In the USA, an inferior product without visual monitoring is available for one thousand dollars ($1000); whereas Ambalika Institute has developed this product at a cost of seven hundred dollars ($700) with Full Visual Monitoring.
