Transportation Solutions Enterprises Sponsors Horses of Honor
The Chicago Police Foundation has created a new fundraising campaign called Horses of Honor (similar to the Cows on Parade that happened the summer of 1999) to honor police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 10, 2014 - Transportation Solutions Enterprises (TSE), an integrated logistics provider based in Chicago, is proud to announce its involvement this year with Horses of Honor. TSE sponsored and dedicated a statue to deceased Police Officer Alejandro "Alex" Valadez who was shot and killed in the line of duty in June of 2009.
Created by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, Horses of Honor pays tribute to more than 500 Chicago police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty since 1853. Designed to resemble Chicago's Mounted Patrol Unit Horses, each statue is decorated by sponsors and artists to serve as a public art display to raise awareness and support for the foundation.
"It's an honor to support a great cause that recognizes the city's heroes," said Todd Berger, President and CEO of TSE. "We are humbled to give back to the families of the officers."

The horse will be unveiled at a press conference Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago. The horses will be on display through November on Chicago's Magnificent Mile outside The Shops at North Bridge.
Once the display is complete, all horses will be auctioned at a live auction on December 3, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency. There will be an online auction the following day. All proceeds from the sponsorships and the auction will benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, which supports the families of police officers who have been killed or severely injured on the job.
