Transasia's 'Biochemistry Medical Technologists Training Programme' receives an overwhelming response at Mumbai and Baddi
India's No. 1 In-Vitro Diagnostic Company, provides a platform for knowledge sharing, through its series of technologists training workshops.
- (1888PressRelease) August 17, 2013 - At Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd.,we believe its our primary responsibility to provide doctors and patients with quality healthcare solutions and that doesn't end with just offering world-class products. We consider it our duty to ensure that the end user of our products are well versed with the operations and applications to provide precise results.
As a first step in this direction, Transasia has initiated a 'Biochemistry Medical Technologists Training Programme' in different cities. So far the programme has been successfully performed at two locations - Mumbai and Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
The first training was held at Mumbai on 15th Jun'13. Heavy rains didn't deter the spirit of over 20 technologists from different labs and hospitals all over the city, who attended the session!
The programme commenced with Dr. Gurmukh Advani, President - Sales & Marketing, Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd., addressing the attendees and inspiring them to make the most of this opportunity and learn from the experts.
The programme was conducted with an objective to introduce Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). The technologists were provided 'hands on' training on automation and the entire range of biochemistry instruments. The expert team of product managers and scientific personnel from Transasia conducted a comprehensive technical and 'hands on' training on our various biochemistry instruments like EM 100, EM 200 and Chem Touch.
During the hands on, two levels of quality controls ERBANORM and ERBAPATH were run on EM 100 for three different chemistries namely Glucose (End Point), SGOT/PT (Kinetic) and Creatinine (Two Point Kinetic). The result obtained were on target range of controls. The CV was found to be less than 2%. The technologists were extremely happy with the results and convinced with the quality of reports. On EM 100, the same control were run five times as sample replicates. The precision of results boosted the confidence of the technologists. EM 100 proved to be an ideal choice for a medium workload lab, wanting to upgrade themselves from a semi auto analyzer to further automation.
For further reference, the participants were handed a training kit comprising of informative material.
The session ended on a very good note and certificates were distributed to the participants.
At Baddi, the second such training session was held on 25th July' 13 on the same lines as Mumbai. 26 medical technologists from Chandigarh and the nearby areas attended the programme. The programme received an overwhelming response with few technologists even remarking that this was probably the first time that such a programme was organized by any company and showed their willingness to attend such programmes in the future as well.
The response received has been very encouraging and Transasia soon plans to conduct many more sessions in various parts of the country.
