Trailer for Irreplaceable Receives Exclusive World Premiere at the Vatican
Documentary Set for One-Night Theatrical Release Spring 2014, IRREPLACEABLE asks families of all faiths and backgrounds to consider the questions, "What is a family?," "Is today's family dynamic in trouble?," "Are families relevant in today's society?," and "Is my family worth fighting for in an era where divorce is so prevalent?"
- Nashville, TN (1888PressRelease) October 29, 2013 - This past weekend, approximately 150,000 pilgrims traveled to the tomb of St. Peter in Rome for the Pilgrimage of Families. The sacred event, endorsed by the Pontifical Council for the Family, was the first meeting of Pope Francis with the families of the world.
Speaking Saturday evening in St. Peter's Square, Pope Francis said, "I have felt the pain of families living in situations of poverty and war. I have listened to the young people who want to be married even though they face numerous difficulties. And so, let us ask ourselves: how is it possible to live the joy which comes from faith, in the family, today?"
These pilgrims that traveled from around the world had the exclusive opportunity to preview the trailer for the upcoming documentary IRREPLACEABLE, from Pine Creek Entertainment and Focus on the Family, which is scheduled to release in theaters in spring 2014.
Much like these families traveling on the Pilgrimage of Families, IRREPLACEABLE follows one man's journey to determine if traditional families are still relevant to our world. The documentary explores the importance of family with a diversity of experts who enlighten audiences on whether the concept of the traditional family is meaningful, or in fact outdated.
IRREPLACEABLE asks families of all faiths and backgrounds to consider the questions, "What is a family?," "Is today's family dynamic in trouble?," "Are families relevant in today's society?," and "Is my family worth fighting for in an era where divorce is so prevalent?"
Some of the notable experts and commentators featured in IRREPLACEABLE include Michael Medved (radio host, author, political commentator and film critic), Eric Metaxas (New York Times best-selling author, Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy), Rabbi Shmuel Goldin (Honorary President, Rabbinical Council of America), Carey Casey (National Center for Fathering), Father Thomas Joseph White (Professor, Dominican House of Studies), Jonathan Last (Author, What to Expect When No One's Expecting), and Dr. Miriam Grossman (Author, Unprotected and You're Teaching My Child WHAT?).
In IRREPLACEABLE, Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council of Family, shares that "today the theme of the family is a crucial theme, not only for the family, but for the Church and Society as a whole."
Audiences will have the opportunity to experience IRREPLACEABLE during a one-night, live U.S. theatrical event in spring 2014. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale in January. Additional information and the film trailer are available at: www.irreplaceablethemovie.com
