Toyota of Des Moines Launches Teacher Appreciation Contest
Toyota of Des Moines contest is now open for nominations.
- Des Moines, IA (1888PressRelease) May 05, 2011 - Toyota of Des Moines is formally announcing they will be accepting nominations for the first Toyota of Des Moines Teacher Appreciation Contest.
In honor of the many educators who are so extremely influential in shaping our nation's youth, Toyota of Des Moines is launching a contest which honors and thanks a teacher who has made an impact in the community. The winner will have the opportunity to drive a Toyota vehicle from the Toyota of Des Moines dealership for 30 days.
"This contest is our way of thanking the remarkable educators who touch our children's lives, and set the domino effect for inspiring greatness," said Steve Luebke, general manager at Toyota of Des Moines. "On the same token, this is not just about giving back to teachers, it's about appreciating community efforts and providing ways in which we can establish lasting relationships with our neighbors, because at the heart of every good business is a strong community."
The contest website, which will be open for nominations starting Wednesday May 4, is accessible through the Toyota of Des Moines social media channels. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to nominate educators who have been influential in the lives of their students, and the overall community.
Once nomination period ends May 18, the voting period will commence. The public will be invited to vote for the educator they feel to be most deserving of the unique prize. Voting period will start on May 20 and ends May 27. Winners will be announced Wednesday, June 1.
Toyota of Des Moines contest rules request each educator be a current employee of a Des Moines area school. Persons submitting nominations must complete each submission entirely to be valid, and are limited to only one nomination.
