That’s right, with a new album currently hitting the streets, and available at all music outlets and streaming services spearheaded with AMG/SONY distribution, veteran award-winning freestyle recording artist Stevie B has signed a new global label services agreement with Toronto’s AMG.
It’s a reunion of sorts for the team at AMG as Chairman Mark S. Berry was very involved as a producer/engineer/mixer at Vanguard Records in NYC, where he produced Alisha, Nayobe and many more during the '80s. “It’s such a pleasure to be reunited with Stevie after so many years,” comments AMG Chair Mark Berry on the new deal. “We are proud that Stevie has chosen to take his route to market and retain control of his music. The new deal, struck between AMG Label Services and Stevie B’s production company Royalty Entertainment, is a timely one. As a solo artist, Stevie has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, 7 top 10 Billboard Pop & Dance singles in Freestyle history along with racking up numerous top 10 singles in foreign territories internationally.
The award-winning singing star, who kicked off his career as an independent artist 33 years ago, shows his excitement of signing with AMG. “We are extremely excited to be continuing our relationship with AMG as they have provided us with crucial support and feel they are the perfect partner to help us deliver my new music while allowing me the opportunity to retain my rights with full creative control."
Stevie reached the height of his success, with the hit single, "Because I Love You," enjoying four weeks at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in December 1990. He had two subsequent top 15 hits from Love and Emotion with "I'll Be by Your Side" and the title track from the album.
