1. Guess Again
There is a "guessing penalty" of one-quarter of a question per missed question and the College Board does not penalize for omitted questions, so only guess if you are able to eliminate some of the multiple choice options.
2. Word Power Wins
Studies show there is a strong correlation between essay length and higher scores so incorporate more details, examples, and experiences into your essay.
3. Test Date Rate
There is virtually no link between difficulty of the curve and testing date. Set your test date for a time when you know you'll have done enough preparation.
4. Experimental Experience
There is no way to determine the "experimental" section of the SAT test. Do not work "less hard" on a section because it might be the experimental section.
5. Score Floor Lore
To admissions counselors, a total score of 2100 is identical to that of a 2090, hardly a "make-or-break" assessment for college admission.
6. Essay Ease Breeze
